ET - Make Believe or Real? ﹝09-1995﹞

May I first ask you a question: do you believe in aliens, ETs or UFOs? Have you ever thought that there may be other living creatures, beyond our knowledge, living in outerspace? Believe it or not, no one can by now, be sure or give proof to the existence of alien, and this is a mystery many people are curious in.
I believe most of you must have noticed that about 2 months ago, a flim claimed to be about the dissection of an alien was broadcast on TV, and the film, of course, attracted many peoples' curiousity and attention.
Moreover, the film was said to be in great connection with the Roswell Incident, and here is a brief introduction about this incident:
It is said that in the month of June 1947, a gigantic disk-shape UFO crashed into Ruswell, and from the remains of the UFO, US Army found 5 aliens which had outlooking features similar to human beings.
The reality of this story is still in agrument, but the point which makes the film come into connection with this incident is that, the body to appeared in the film was suspected to be one of the five aliens found during this incident.

The "inside-stuff" of the film is as follows:
The film was photographed by an American military photographer. The backgorund colour of the film was black and white. A British publisher, Ray Santilli bought the film and then sold it to other TV stations, and planned to broadcast the film on the 28th of August 1995.
From the film, we saw a body lying on a high dissection bench, and there were 2 persons dressed in white protected coats. These 2 persons were responsible for dissecting the body. The body had out-feature similar to mankind, except it had 6 fingers and toes. The most outstanding feature is that, the body had an extra-ordinary big head, almost one-third of its whole size, and it had a big belly. The body was assumed to be female.
The whole process of the dissection is like this: One of the two persons first examined the body. He then, with a surgery knife, cut open the body from its neck down to belly, and took out the organs. As for the head, he found the eyes of this body were covered with 2 black membranes, which were easily removed. Lastly, he cut open the skull and took out the brain. The other person seemed to be responsible in recording the whole process.
After this film was broadcast, scientists, and film makers all over the world began to discuss about it. It was proved by Kodak Company that the film was made in years around 1947.There were even people claiming that they were eye-witnesses of the crash of the UFO in Roswell, and strongly believed that the body appeared in the film was one of the five found in this incident.
Moreover, some medical and dissection experts after studying the film, gave credit to the body being a life-creature. According to professional film makers in Hollywood, the production of a body like the one in the film costs a huge sum of money. They said if the maker of this film wanted to make a fake dummy at that time, it is completely impossible because even with the technology today, thay cannot be sure to make such a dummy.
Although there are some points to support the reliability of the film, the points mentioned before do not have a direct relationship with the reliability of the film. However, one point that we cannot deny is that there was certainly a creature being dissected.

On the other hand, many people pointed out the film still has some doubtful points.
First of all, let us concentrate on the doubtful points about the source of the film:
Firstly, Ray Santilli, the publisher of this film has not emphasised authenticity of the film being. He let the public to justice. Is it because he knew that the evidence to prove the real is not strong enough? On the contary, if it is true, it will cause an uproar. So, he decided not to talk about the reality or falsehood?
Secondly, the photographer who sold the film to Ray Santilli said that he had be called to take records many times. It is not reasonable, because it is impossible to keep secret. If US Army want to take films or photos about some top secrets, usually, it will divided differents groups of people, one taking those and another one taking others, so that nobody knows the whole things and what had happened.
Thirdly, the US Government treated this affair very low-key. They still insisted that the crash in Roswell in 1947 was a military balloon. However, a congressman wanted the government to open the documents about Roswell Incident, the reply was that all the documents were destroyed! What did the government want to cover? If they want to cover the fact of ET, why did they let the film show to the public? Of course, if the film is false, it doesn't matter!
Fourthly, someone said the body in the film was made based on the decision of Joseph Stalin, the dictator of Soviet Union at that time. He used a flying object, may be balloon, to carry it to USA and dropped it in Roswell. He wanted to disperse the attention of US Government. So, Soviet Union could improve their nuclear bomb to over take USA.
Fifthly, someone said that the film was made by Steven Spielberg. It is said that he is deciding whether to make a new film about Roswell Incident, so the film is made for promotion.

Now, let us concentrate on the doubtful points about the body in the film:
Firstly, there are some differences between the body in the film and the descriptions of ET by the witnesses of Roswell Incident. The largest difference is that the body in the film has six fingers and toes but the witnesses said the ET has four only. So, the body in the film may not be the ET in Roswell Incident, and the persuasion power is reduced.
Secondly, Roswell is in New Mexico. New Mexico is a military research base of USA. The first nuclear bomb was also exploded there. So, the body in the film may be a victim of nuclear explosion who became deformed by the radiation. US Government wanted to avoid the public in having any panic, so they made this film and said there was an ET found when someone investigate the nuclear explosion.
Thirdly, it is said that the UFO in Roswell Incident had exploded in the air first and then crashed, so, why the body in the film was so complete? It only had an injury on the right leg. It must be burnt.
Fourthly, the dissection room was too simple, like some settings. If the body is ET, it is supposed to be something that has never been found on earth. So when the man cut open the body, thay should carefully observe first record the position of the organs, not quickly taking all the organs out. Also the dissection time must be longer, not two hours, may be a week or a month.
Fifthly, from the film, we noticed that the photoing process was quite smooth. The photographer said that he had removed the protective coat. It is impossible that he did no wear the coat, because he might get some uncurable diseases through touching the body. It would not only affect him, it would also affect others!
Sixthly, when the camera close-up, the picture become blured. Someone han proved the cameras used at that time had no short distance focusing. However, if someone wanted to make a film like this, he can make the picture blur to cover the shortcomings, and lie that the film was made by US Army at that time.
Seventhly, the appearance of the body was very similar to that of human being. As a result, someone thinks it is just an abnormal human. But we think that it is possible that an ET is similar to us, because nobody know what an ET looks like, ETs can be of any appearances. By chance, may be there are some ETs like us.

Although there are so many doubtful points about the film, these point do not have direct relationship with the film, thay are not enough for us to justify. The most important thing is that someone can strongly point out the film is false or the body is not an ET. However, nobody can do that.
There is rumour that the US Government has a plan to reveal the fact of existence of ETs. Their plan included constantly supporting Steven Spielberg to produce some films about ETs, like "Encontour of Third Kind" and "ET". Their aim is to teach people how to accept the existence of ETs. It is also said that the revelation of this film is part of their plan.
Finally, let us have a overall conclusion.
The broadcasting of a dissection of a body suspected to be an ET, for many people, is strange and special. However, it also changes many people's mind to accept the existence of ET. However, the whole affair, with many commercial factors, just for money. On the other hand, we do not think that someone made up this trickery in order to get a large sum of money, because it costs millions to make it. Surely, one cannot get much profit from it. Also you must notice that the film may not be 100% real because it still has so many doubtful points.
Next, someone may not want the public to panic, so they strongly deny the existence of ETs. Howeve, to prove the existence of ETs is much easier than to deny it, we cannot say that there is no ET if we cannot discover any one in the world or in outerspace, may be it is because our technology is not advanced enough to discover them, not that they do not exist. On the contrary, the most direct way to prove the existence is to request the US Government to reveal the frozen bodies of the ETs found in the Roswell Incident or other discoveries if they have.
